Pregnancy Support
You don’t have to hire a birth doula to receive support during pregnancy. If you’re looking for someone to answer your questions, help you prepare for birth, and provide evidence based information along the way, pregnancy support offers the guidance and reassurance you need without labor and birth attendance.
What Is Pregnancy Support?
Pregnancy support is designed for those who want personalized guidance throughout pregnancy without continuous labor support. Together, we’ll prepare for birth by exploring your options, discussing birth preferences, practicing comfort techniques, and creating a plan for the postpartum period.
If you’re looking for support during pregnancy but don’t need a doula at your birth, this service offers the same thoughtful preparation I provide to my birth doula clients. Through personalized education, planning, and ongoing support between visits, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to approach birth feeling informed, prepared, and ready for the transition into parenthood.
What You Can Expect
Every pregnancy is different, and the support you receive should reflect that. Before we start preparing for birth, I want to get to know you. I want to understand what matters most to you, what questions you have, and how I can best support you throughout your pregnancy.
Our time together is shaped by your needs. We may spend one visit talking through common interventions and informed consent, while another focuses on labor positions, comfort techniques, or creating your birth preferences. There’s no set script. We’ll focus on the topics that help you feel the most prepared.
Preparing for birth is only part of the journey. Together, we’ll also make a plan for the early postpartum period so you have practical support in place before your baby arrives. My goal is for you to head into birth feeling informed, confident, and ready for whatever comes next.
How We’ll Work Together
Initial Consultation
Our first meeting is an opportunity to get to know one another. We’ll talk about your pregnancy, your goals, and the type of support you’re looking for. You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions, and together we’ll decide whether this service is the right fit for your needs.
Personalized Prenatal Visits
Your package includes three personalized prenatal visits, each tailored to your individual needs. We may discuss birth preferences, comfort techniques, informed consent, common interventions, or postpartum planning. Every pregnancy is different, so our conversations will focus on the topics that feel most helpful to you
Postpartum Preparation Visit
Preparing for birth is only part of preparing for a new baby. During this visit, we’ll focus on making the transition into postpartum a little easier. Together, we’ll talk through your postpartum plan, and make sure you feel ready for those first weeks at home.
Ongoing Support
Questions don’t only come up during appointments. Throughout our time together, you’ll have text and email support so you can reach out whenever something comes up. Whether you need help finding a resource, understanding your options, or simply want reassurance, I’m here to support you between visits.

Frequently Asked Questions
Pregnancy Support focuses on preparing you for birth through personalized education, planning, and ongoing support during pregnancy. Unlike Birth Doula Support, this service does not include on call labor support or attendance during your birth.
Pregnancy Support can begin at any point during pregnancy, though many clients choose to start during the second trimester. Beginning earlier gives us more time to prepare, but support is available whenever you decide you’re ready.
Absolutely! If I have availability and you decide you’d like labor support as well, we’ll talk about transitioning to a Birth Doula package.
