National Resources

Evidence Based Birth

Provides evidence-based articles, research summaries, childbirth education, and decision-making tools to help families make informed choices throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth.

Spinning Babies

Offers education on fetal positioning, comfort measures, and movement techniques that may help support labor progress and comfort during birth.

Lamaze International

A nonprofit organization providing childbirth education, labor preparation, and resources that promote healthy, informed births.

March of Dimes

Provides trusted information on healthy pregnancy, prenatal care, pregnancy complications, premature birth, and newborn health.

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG)

Offers patient education written by obstetricians and gynecologists on pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum recovery, and reproductive health.

MotherToBaby

Provides free, evidence-based information about the safety of medications, vaccines, herbal supplements, chemicals, and other exposures during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Offers statewide information on prenatal care, maternal health programs, infant health initiatives, and public health resources for Pennsylvania families.

Pittsburgh Resources

Hello Baby Allegheny

A free resource navigation program that connects Allegheny County families with pregnancy support, childbirth education, home visiting programs, doulas, breastfeeding support, baby supplies, mental health services, and many other local resources.

The Midwife Center

A nationally accredited birth center offering prenatal care, midwifery services, childbirth education, gynecologic care, and community programs.

Healthy Start Inc.

Provides prenatal and postpartum support, doula services, home visiting, parenting education, and programs focused on improving birth outcomes for families throughout Allegheny County.

The MAYA Organization

A nonprofit dedicated to advancing birth equity by providing free perinatal support for BIPOC and marginalized families. Services include doulas, childbirth education, prenatal and postpartum classes, breastfeeding support, mentoring, mental health counseling, assistance with diapers and baby supplies, and specialized support for incarcerated pregnant and postpartum people.
